GAC Group issued on January 5 the briefing of production and sales of December 2021, and achieved a new high production and sales 268,000 units and 234,000 units respectively, a year-on-year growth of 21.4% and 11.8, and a growth of 14.6% and 4.3% over the previous month. Throughout the year, GAC Group tackled the unfavorable factors such as shortage of chip, and achieved a cumulative production and sales of 2.138 million units and 2.144 million units, a respective year-on-year growth of 5.1% and 4.9%. Both the total industrial output and local output grew significantly, outperforming the stretch goal. It achieved the yearly total industrial output of RMB 350.01 billion, a year-on-year growth of 9.7%; the cumulative output in Guangzhou of 326.97 billion, a year-on-year growth of 10.6%.

Amidst the profound change of the auto industry in 2021, the strong rise of independent brands has become the backbone force. In spite of fierce competition, GAC Motor stood out, and achieved the yearly sales of over 320,000 units, a year-on-year growth of 10.3% with its powerful product lineup of sedan +SUV +MPV.

GAC also achieved good performance in the increasingly intense new energy vehicle market. In 2021, GAC Motor achieved the yearly sales of over 140,000 units, a year-on-year growth of 86.3%. Besides, the yearly retail sales of GAC AION were 123,660 units, a year-on-year growth of 119%.
