On April 25th, GAC held its first press conference online for the release of its social responsibility report. GAC Group worked with 6 invested enterprises and institutions in releasing the 2021 Corporate Social Responsibility Report of GAC Group, and announced its social responsibility slogan, “GAC, Care For You”.

On March 31st, GAC Qiling Hotel opened in Huadu District, Guangzhou. The on-schedule inauguration and delivery of Qiling Hotel is another attempt made by Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group to actively fulfill its social responsibility, shoulder its mission as a state-owned enterprise, and serve the overall development of Guangzhou.

On March 31st, GAC held a press conference for the release of its 2021 annual report both online and offline. In 2021, its gross revenue reached about RMB 429.755 billion, with a growth of about 8.66% YoY; the net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was RMB 7.3 billion, with a growth of nearly 23% YoY.

On March 23rd, the first GAC Mitsubishi electric SUV, AIRTREK, was officially launched. A total of two models, Pioneer and Hardcore were launched. The subsidized official guide price of Pioneer is RMB 199,800, while that of Hardcore is RMB 229,800. AIRTREK is the first new energy vehicle to be jointly developed by GAC and Mitsubishi Motors.

On March 23rd, GAC announced the establishment of GAC Energy & Ecological Technology Co., Ltd. (tentative name). Focusing on the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” goals of the state, GAC is committed to building a charge-change-storage energy supply ecosystem and battery recycling ecosystem, as well as setting up an intelligent, efficient energy cloud platform to promote the development and application of energy storage technology, “vehicle-station-network” interactive smart charge-swap service technology and products.

On March 17th, GAC deliberated over and approved the Proposal for implementing Employee Equity Incentives and Related Matters at GAC Aion, agreeing GAC Aion to implement equity incentives for employees and allowing technical employees at GAC R&D Center to hold shares of GAC Aion. At the same time, strategic investors such as China Chengtong Group, China Southern Power Grid and Guangzhou Aian, which meet the requirements for the adjustment of state-owned capital structure, were introduced into GAC Aion. A total of RMB 2.566 billion was raised this time.

On January 28th, GAC donated 8 automobiles under its independent brand GAC Motor to the Shenshan Medical Center, Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University as medical vehicles, which will be used to send professional doctors in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to eastern Guangdong to serve the local people.

On January 5, GAC Group and Sun Yat-sen University signed strategic cooperation in Guangzhou. Both parties will co-build the joint R&D Center and joint laboratory, conduct cooperation on talent training, carry out basic and applied study on critical CASE technologies focusing on the core technology demand of a new generation vehicle, and assist the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a powerful nation of automobile.
