2021 Technology Innovation Frontier Summit was held in Guangzhou

In order to actively respond to the Chinese government’s commitment on carbon peak and carbon emission, and promote the sustainable development of the automobile industry, the 2021 Technology Innovation Frontier Summit, with the theme of “Promote new industrial landscape and create a new low-carbon future”, was held in Chime Long Hotel, Guangzhou on April 9, 2021. The forum was co-hosted by China Electric Vehicle Association and China Industry Innovation Alliance for Automobile Power Battery, and organized by GAC Group.

About 180 people attended the forum, including related leaders of the Guangzhou government, academicians and experts such as Chen Qingtai, former Party secretary of Development Research Center of the State Council and chairman of China Electric Vehicle Association, Dong Yang, vice chairman of China Electric Vehicle Association and former executive vice chairman of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Sun Fengchun, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice council chairman of China Electrotechnical Society, fellow of China Society of Automotive Engineers and professor of School of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology, Wu Feng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, academician of Asia-Pacific Academy of Materials and distinguished professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, Li Keqiang, professor of School of Vehicle and Mobility of Tsinghua University, director of State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy and chief scientist of National Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles, and Li Guangyao, director of Engineering Computing Software Research and Development Center of Shenzhen Automotive Research Institute of Beijing Institute of Technology, honorary director of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Design and Manufacturing for Vehicle Body and deputy director of Technical Committee of China Auto Lightweight Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, leaders of GAC Group such as Chairman Zeng Qinghong and President Feng Xingya, media journalists, representatives of industry associations and academia, and employee representatives of GAC Group. In addition, Sun Xueliang, academician of Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada, academician of Canadian Academy of Engineering and chief scientist in nano-energy materials from University of Western Ontario, Canada, delivered a video speech.
