On the Media Day of the 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Show on April 19, 2021, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GAC Group) and Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tencent) held a signing ceremony for upgraded strategic cooperation in Shanghai. Under the witness of President Feng Xingya of GAC Group, and Senior Executive Vice President Tang Daosheng of Tencent, Executive Vice President Wu Song of GAC Group and Vice President Zhong Xiangping of Tencent signed the contract on behalf of both parties.

GAC Group and Tencent established a strategic cooperation relationship for the first time in 2017, and have laid a good foundation for mutual trust and win-win results in the past 3 years. In the face of the deepening construction of new infrastructures and the accelerated development of industrial integration, both parties will continue to, based on the principle of mutual benefit, mutual promotion and common development, upgrade their cooperation and make more forward-looking and in-depth cooperation in several aspects. In terms of product digitalization, both parties will, based on the existing cooperation of both parties about the GOS system (GAC’s intelligent and connected operating system) and the TAI platform (Tencent’s product for automobile ecosystem and connectivity), promote the integration between the GOS system and the TAI 3.0 platform. In terms of business digitalization, both parties will strive to jointly build a data platform that runs through the whole process including manufacturing, sale and management. In terms of new travel landscape, both parties will work together to accelerate the ecological and technological upgrading of travel service platforms. In terms of digital base, both parties will establish a long-term cooperation relationship for joint creation and existence based on digitalization.
